Why settle for visiting just one of the area’s top wineries when you can enjoy multiple different spots, each offering its own twist on Tennessee wine? The Gatlinburg Wine Trail is a must for anyone who loves wine and cider, or those who want to experience authentic tastes of the Smoky Mountains. For a small fee of just $10, you can take a self-guided tour to 5 of the region’s favorite wineries. You’ll make stops at Tennessee Homemade Wines, Tennessee Cider Company, Smokin’ Banjo, and Old Mountain Wine Company. From sipping on an outdoor patio to enjoying views of the popular Gatlinburg Strip, each place offers something special in a relaxing, welcoming environment.

2. Cades Cove Picnic Area

There’s a reason Cades Cove is one of the most popular areas inside of Great Smoky Mountains National Park — the scenery is truly unmatched! This peaceful valley features wide open fields, a glimpse at fascinating wildlife, and historic charm. The Cades Cove Picnic Area offers picnic tables near Abrams Creek, where the sounds of flowing water, wildlife, and the mountain breeze provide the ultimate peace when combined with a glass of Tennessee Homemade Wines.

The perfect blend of Tennessee wine and a relaxing natural backdrop awaits at the Chimneys Picnic Area! It’s located right by the Little Pigeon River, so the sounds of the river give you the solitude and scenery you’re looking for. There are plenty of shady areas perfect for a warm day by the water. Enjoy your wine and food directly by the river as the fresh mountain air fills your lungs. The stillness of your surroundings makes this a spot you’ll never want to leave!

4. The Porch of Your Cabin Rental

Trying to decide where you’ll stay on your next vacation to the Smoky Mountains? Nothing beats the calmness of a cabin rental with a porch or deck area to sit back and sip on Tennessee wine! Take a load off your feet in a rocking chair, pour a glass of Tennessee Homemade Wines, and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature just outside your door. Even better, stay in a cabin rental with a hot tub! Let the warmth of the water relax your muscles as you sip on your wine and enjoy the company of loved ones. Many of the cabins in the area provide stunning views of the Smokies in the distance.
